Slums are a major cause of worry for urban authorities now a days. Slums in modern cities like Mumbai, Chennai are so widespread that removing the poor people from the slums and demolishing these slums is not a solution of the problem. The main problem faced while rehabilitating the slum dwellers is the amount of money spend by the government, in making a single house.
Try to come up with a suitable solution to this huge problem by suggesting methods to build pucca houses or apartments for the slum dwellers at the lowest cost possible and also one which can accommodate a large no. of people without just jamming them in a single apartment. Give complete technical and financial details of the apartment you are planning to build and also use new methods or technologies to make various foundations and parts of the apartment/house more cost efficient, yet feasible.
